Clinical Device Specialist

The Clinical Device Specialists will be involved in the 4D Healthware strategic review and planning process, analyzing existing devices and potential new devices that 4D might want to add to our platform.  This will include research and descriptions of medical devices and it involves, educating and training medical staff and patients so they can use the products safely and effectively


Primary Responsibilities

  • Research and document accurate information about a range of medical devices that are listed on the 4D Healthware platform
  • Ability to demonstrate medical devices to potential 4D Healthware customers
  • Patient enough to train medical staff and potential customers – for example, Doctors, Nurses, LPN, MA’s • Give confident presentations and workshops to groups of medical professionals
  • Explain how a product can fit into a clinical practice or setting
  • Stay up to date with new clinical evaluations of the product and innovations in their specialist field – these then need to be communicated to their customers
  • Observe and report on competitors of 4D Healthware and the devices they are using to care for patients if available
  • Review and approve all medical devices that are reimbursable by Medicare and/or private insurance indicating which reimburses or if both reimburse
  • Provide, compile and maintain a price sheet for minimum and maximum reimbursement amounts for each Medicare reimbursable medical device
  • Provide information regarding any changes to the durable equipment laws or requirements.
  • Maintain a list of durable equipment providers and an overview of what type of approved Medicare reimbursable devices they supply as it relates to 4D
  • Compile and maintain an active list of social service organization s that may fully pay or assist with medical device purchases


Education and Experience Required

  • Maintaining an excellent and up-to-date customer databaseOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication
  • Staying on top of emails and phone calls from customers to ensure all their questions and queries are answered
  • Arranging and overseeing seamless supply to customers, including training, stock checks and timely deliveries
